We live in one of those reforming eras that have so often marked the history of the church. Reform seems to reach so deeply into the cultural norm of the church as to shake the very foundation of faith and doctrine. Many of the subjects that will be addressed on this website will cause a shaking in the heart of current belief systems. Foremost in this will be a fresh look at leadership in the household of God.Writers in the early church often only identified themselves as servants, ministers. This view seemed to be a real reflection of their thought toward themselves. No sense of false modesty. In their view, this is who, and even more so, what they were. The term they used was so descriptive. This term could only describe one type of individual. In their own eyes they were slaves. Their entire lives were given to the orders, needs, even the whim of a master. Whether they were writing to a developing group, an established church, or a scattered remnant, each one was very clear. They were given to the work of a Lord with no personal stake in it. Their work would be marked by the same mercy that marked the natural life of their Lord and Savior. They would be given to the alleviation of the misery that sin had brought into the lives of men and women.James, in particular, wrote to a group of believers that are with us in great numbers today. These are the believers who truly love Jesus, but have been scattered by the harsh, proud attitudes of leaders who seem to think that they have a kingdom of doctrine and judgment to establish. Their will, their way somehow makes them feel good so they live life imposing it on others. Meanwhile, people who are doing the best they can to live life and love Jesus are being pushed aside, pushed out, and left wondering how it all happened.This ministry is dedicated to taking a fresh look at the word and working of God while encouraging people to continue to learn. Know that you can hear God for your life. Know that mature believers and even immature believers can give you support and help as you sort out your life in God. Our job is not to sort out who is a leader and who is not. We have no desire to define "church" and all its working. We have a deep need to love Jesus and help others as their lives are changed by walking with Him.

Glenn Berry has been a pastor, leader, church planter and pioneer for over 30 years. Glenn has pastored in rural America, and partnered in city street ministry and on Native American reservations. He serves in several locations with pastors in Mexico in leadership training as well as outreach and ministry to their communities. Long time friends Pedro Basilio, Phil Reasons, Elias Rodriguez, Carlos Fernandez, Damon Sturm, and Moses Borjas are valuable partners and co-laborers.We believe that no single group, church or organization embodies the perfect expression of Christ to every person. We believe that Father equips those He calls and He alone determines where and how we can best serve Him.We believe in the sovereignty of God as expressed through the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Almighty God is the only Creator and Ruler of the universe, that man is a being who has fallen into sin, and that man's salvation is provided through Jesus Christ. Mankind has redemption from sin through Jesus' death, resurrection, and ongoing work on our behalf. The Holy Spirit was sent forth from the Father and Son to indwell our spirit and to empower believers to live a new life. The end of the world as we know it will come and men will be judged by Almighty God.The expression of the church in each individual situation is the responsibility of local leadership as they follow God. Acknowledging Father's infinite creativity we do not attempt to conform His expression to our preconceived ideas in the many areas where we work and support the work of other followers of Christ.Glenn Berry Ministries is the umbrella for the many activities we participate in or support as we walk out our part in the Great Commission. Darn It! Maybe I Missed Something! Musings of a Spiritually Challenged Redneck

Glenn Berry knows what it's like to struggle with questions of faith. As a young boy growing up in the countryside hills of Oklahoma, he couldn't help but think that all the sinning that his preachers, his parents, and his Sunday school teachers were talking about sounded like a lot more fun than being an honest, pious Christian. When he became a young adult, this suspicion was proven to be true.

Darn It! Maybe I Missed Something! is the story of a redneck's path to a life of Christian faith. Berry asks the questions of sin, faith, and forgiveness that the "proper" theologians shy away from. Along the way, he'll address the doubts, the fears, and the joy of a rebel's coming-to-terms with Jesus.

"I might be missing something, but the God that I am discovering is changing my life. I doubt that I will ever be into the moaning and crying. I know His first name is not Ohhhh. At any rate, now I have hope that I am accepted into His family."

Glenn is a seasoned church pastor who has been in ministry for more than thirty years. He completed Bible school through Berean School of the Bible while serving a church in rural North Dakota. Much of his ministry has been with the American Indians in North Dakota and the indeginous tribal people of Mexico. Glenn currently works among several churches in the United States and Mexico, residing in Texas with his family.
